DESCRIPTION

GenuTrain P3 centers the kneecap and prevents painful lateral drifting with its special patella pad and corrective strap that can be individually adjusted using a Velcro strap. The support also targets and prevents muscle imbalance which can lateralize the kneecap. The upper section of the patella pad therefore actively stimulates parts of the teardrop muscle (vastus medialis). A further pad on the outer thigh additionally reduces tension in the iliotibial tract tendon. A crescent shaped medial cover prevents the kneecap from tilting during movement. Two friction points on the lower section of the patella pad apply targeted pressure to the infrapatellar fat pad (Hoffa's fat pad), therefore reducing pain in the retropatellar area. Pads and knit create therapeutic intermittent compression in the knee support during movement. This massage effect relieves pain, improves the metabolism, and positively influences the sensorimotor system. GenuTrain P3 provides continuous protection to the kneecap, hence the name P3 for "permanent patella protection". It fits securely and comfortably thanks to its anatomical fit, elastic edges, and soft material in the hollow of the knee.
